Yoga is an ancient philosophy that includes within its practice physical exercises (asanas), meditation, and pranayama (breathing). Yoga is scientifically proven to promote physical and mental well-being since it has a direct impact on the central nervous system, as well as on the detoxification process of the body, promoting the balance of the organism (homeostasis).
This balance favors our regulation system, allowing us to experience a state of relaxation, tranquility and clarity, which helps the development of better problem-solving management and helps us to face life from a broader and more positive perspective.
At Outlook Counseling Services, we invite you to a group-workshop of Yoga Practices Focused on Anxiety Management, where through simple exercises of asanas, breathing and meditation you will acquire tools which will allow you to have greater body awareness that will guide you to recognize sensations and will help you prevent panic attacks, as well as decrease anxiety. This group will include meditation exercises that will promote your concentration and decrease excessive worry and breathing exercises to learn how to auto-regulate and return to balance.
The workshop will give you the necessary information and tools so that you can practice on your own, it is important that you remember that, like many other disciplines in this life, the benefits lie in constant practice.
Module I – will be one session per week for 8 weeks starting November 8th, with a duration of 1:30 minutes per session. The sessions of this first module will be held in Spanish (women only).
Who can attend?
Adult women who are interested in reducing their anxiety levels.
Mondays from 6:00-7:30pm
$25.00 per session or for the entire module $200.00
Does my insurance plan cover?
Insurance may cover the cost of the sessions depending on your health plan and benefits. If you will be using insurance, coverage will have to be verified before starting the group.
